Sometimes ...

Sometimes our daughter's hair looks like this ...

and like this ...

But usually she looks like this ...

Messy ... and her bangs all in her eyes ... I call it her "Justin Bieber" hair style. Derek really wants to get her hair cut ... so she doesn't have the "shaggy" style anymore. I was reluctant at first, but now ... it's even starting to bother me! So I asked me good friend Robyn what she suggests and she gave me some tips on how to get her hair roots (is that right Robyn?) to grow in a different direction. We even discussed bang trimming (eeekkk!). Although I do want my child to be able to see ... a part of me doesn't want her hair cut yet because those are her baby ends. The ends she was born with ... you know waaaaayyy back when, when we weren't sure she would ever grow hair!

So Saturday is the day set to trim the bangs ... I know I want it done and it needs to be done ... but it still makes me sad. Just one more thing to let me know that my little baby girl is growing up!

Shake It Girl ...

Cheapy Finds the Sequel ...

The same day that I found my lovely birds I found these cute and slightly odd (but that's why I like them) penguins? I mean I guess they are penguins ... you tell me?

Cute eh?? Can you believe I find these things at the grocery store? Anyways these were $6 together and I think they will look cute for Christmas and add a little somethin' somethin' somewhere in the house!

Child Gone Wild ...

When you let your child dress themself ... anything goes!

Cheapy Finds ...

I found these adorable little birdies in the dollar section this weekend at the grocery store, and knew that I must have them! Although I was too keen on the colour of them.

It's like a metal pewter gone wrong! But I knew I could change that with a nice coat of crisp white glossy spray paint. So I took them out back and did my thing ... and voila!

Are they not adorable? I placed them in my fall mantel to help balance out the big old white owl, and I think they just look so cute - plus you can keep them out for all the other season! This whole thing cost me $4 for both of the birdies and I already had the can of spray paint hangin' around. Hope you likey!

Some Halloween Fun!

Here are some more pictures I was able to snap of Lexi-Lou while she was scooping out the pumpkin junk!

Alexis Carves a Pumpkin

Here's how it went down the night we decided to carve our pumpkin. I wasn't sure if she would like it or not - but what do I know ... of course she liked it. She LOVED it! Here is a short clip.
