Progress.

Yes Derek, you made it onto the blog again :) (he asked me while I was taking this picture if I was going to publish it on the blog lol)

Privacy fence is up and done.

Patio stones are gone thanks to Derek's parents (thank you!) and once the deck is done we will be putting in some sod. There are a couple patio stones that we left to go under the boat so it doesn't wreck the grass and if we ever decide to have fire one nice we can switch out the boat for the fire pit.

Just need to get that gate up. Check out our ghetto wood stopper thingy so the pooch doesn't escape on us!

I know I'm not doing much of this manual labour - but I can't wait for this to be done! I don't do well with construction and the mess gives me anxiety lol!

You're NOT Welcome.

Dear Mr.Groundhog; you ARE not welcome in my backyard. You are not allowed to eat or munch on my new bleeding heart plant, and I do not enjoy you. Please LEAVE!

Consider this your eviction notice!

Uggghhh Mom.

I don't have to wait for my daughter to be 16 years old and whine "awwwww mom" when I do something embarrassing to her. My two year old already does it!

I thought she looked so cute this morning in her little capris and top that I wanted to take a picture before I left for work and she left for "school". However my daughter let out a big "noooooooooo mamaaaa" and so the pictures look like this ...

She stood there knowing that I would snap a picture if she turned around. Well my middle name is "patient" (not really but you know what I mean) so I waited it out and got this one ...

Yea she's telling me "no" in that picture lol.

So Close.

Movie Time.

I wanted to let you all in to witness just how much Alexis loves Caillou. Here she is after her bath, getting ready to watch her show then heading to bed.  We do this every night and she still get's so excited! Only now she tries to prolong watching her show to 3 even 4 episodes. I usually give in because it makes her so happy. What can I say... I'm weak lol.

I Bake.

For Easter I found my inner Martha Stewart and whipped these babies up! I was quite proud of myself - and they were yummy to boot!

Life Happens.

Sorry for the lack of posts. We have just been consumed with working, Alexis has hit a little speed bump and has been showing us what the "terrible two's" really means, and we have been outside a lot lately fixing up the backyard.

Anyways, enough with the excuses. Here are some pictures from Easter of Alexis.  Since my last post - you all knew that she was getting Caillou ... well she LOVES him! Since these pictures were taken Alexis used some Easter money from her great-grandparents in Halifax to purchase another Caillou dvd, and her Grandma Eddy bought her another one! Thank heavens for these two other dvd's because for about a week Derek and I would have to watch episodes over and over. No joke.

Caillou even had to come with us to grandma and grandpa Eddy's house where Alexis took part in her first ever Easter egg hunt put on by her "Teetee" (Aunt Ashley).  However, my photography skills were really lacking and all of the pictures are pretty blurry. Here are a few that managed to survive!
