OALASWI

My subject for this post - OAKASWI also know as "Out As Long As She Was In". I can't believe 9 months ago, Alexis was just here. It's crazy to think about that night! So much has happened, and so much has changed. Derek and I have truly been blessed with the most amazing child. She was such a good baby, and each day, we find something else that she is amazingly good at. Plus she cracks us up ... seriously spend an hour with "the girl with a million faces" and you will understand. Alexis had her 9 month developmental appointment with the doctor this past week, and the doctor was so pleased with her progress. She asked me "so is she pulling herself up yet" and then I looked at her and told her, she had been doing that for ages, like seriously 2 weeks after she learned to sit on her own she was pulling herself up. She said that was very "advanced" (her words not mine of course) for children at this age. She also asked about how foods were going, and if anyone has checked out the little Buddha belly she has got going on, they can tell that foods is not a problem at our house lol. She was happy that she was very into books and that her pincher grasp was very good. All in all, the doctor was happy with where she was at, and she had no complaints. So without ado ... here are her 9 month stats.

At 9 Months Alexis:

  • Weighs 22.5 lbs

  • Is 27.5" long

  • Is walking with help and a few occasions on her own.

  • Loves her toys and books! She spends a lot of time feeling, looking and flipping pages, which is great to see cause I have a lot of books obviously being in childcare.

  • Eats like a champ, and loves her "big people" food like melon, cheerios, cheese cubes, toast with PB, chicken pieces, crackers and many other things that I'm not going to list.

  • LOVES water! We add a smidgen of juice now and then.

  • Still is drinking 4 8 0z. bottles morning, noon, dinner and before bed.

  • Is making the most ridiculous faces lately - we're not sure where they came from and how she learned them ... but seriously they are h.i.l.a.r.i.o.u.s!

  • Has made us completely baby proof our main level of the house - it's like Fort Knox over here.

  • Finally we are able to put in pig-tails!!! I'm loving all her thick hair!

  • Is wearing size 12-18 months in clothes.
