Hi-Ho .. Hi-Ho .. It's Off to IKEA We Go!

So a bunch of us girls from work got together to make a trip to non other than IKEA.  I personally don't get to venture there too often, unless of course I am successful at twisting Derek's arm and promising him he can get the 50 cent hot dogs (this of course excites him).

 So together we all met in the wee hours of the morning ... ready to shop till we drop.  You may ask what makes this particular trip a challenge ... well its because this is all I'm going to spend!

Yup $100 smackaroo's! On this trip I am looking to get some things for Alexis for Christmas as well as a few things I've had my eye on while browsing online on their site.

So this is how the day went down ... brace yourselves haha! So our day began of course with a pit stop to Starbucks ... then a lot of this ...

Then we saw the flags ...

We started our morning off with a del-oush (and cheap) breakfast from IKEA's restaurant. I'd never eaten here (besides the 50 cent hot dogs of course) so this was a first for me, and we weren't complaining about the portion sizes at all for $1.00!

I'm serious ... $1.00 people ... with an OJ this was my bill ...

That was great ... anyways moving on .. we checked out the rooms that are set up upstairs ... and got a little silly ...

Then we proceeded to walk around and get "down to business" about the things we came to get ... here are some pictures of my favourite things, that I might not have picked up, but definitely liked (ooohhh maybe another time!) ...

And of course I snapped some pictures of my ladies doing their thing ...

By the end of our trip, we had successfully filled three carts of stuff!

annnnddd just because ... I totally kicked butt at this challenge!

It was a fun, successful trip that I really enjoyed. It was nice to have part of the day to myself and to just hang out with the girls and shop ... and I think we made out pretty good!
